After qualifying with what is now PWC and spending significant time on due diligence and other investigative assignments, Philip’s first step towards industry was a via secondment with the NatWest Corporate banking team. After a subsequent secondment with Avesta Sheffield, Philip went native with this Stainless Steel manufacturer, discharging various roles including the global S&D division and UK pensions. Senior finance roles within the E-learning and printing sectors followed before he joined forces with Mark Adam’s at Transdek.
Together Mark and Philip steered the business to success in bringing the efficiency of double-decked distribution to market by supplying innovative loading equipment - via award winning and patented designs, whilst remaining self funded. A planned sale of the business was duly delivered in 2020.
Like Mark, Philip knows that the need for transport efficiency has, perhaps, never been greater - with the sector facing spiralling costs, a driver shortage and the need to be greener. And hence there is a need for a Better Way Forward.
